Youth Programs and Sunday School

Youth Programs at St. Mary’s
St. Mary’s is a very welcoming parish for young children, youth, and their families. Young people participate in worship as acolytes, sing in our thriving children’s choir, attend parish and diocesan events, and serve the community – for example, helping cook meals for the BSAFE summer program for inner city youth. In their time together our children make friends while learning, playing, and growing as people of God.

St. Mary’s youth helped support the B-SAFE summer program for inner city youth by preparing and serving lunches

Sunday’s at St. Mary’s

All of our children’s programs begin at 9:45AM in the classrooms underneath the main church building.

A team of highly qualified and dedicated teachers offer Sunday School for ages from preschool to 8th grade. The schedule of lessons is posted on the Godly Play classroom door. Except for a few weeks during the summer, Sunday School follows the School Year Calendar.

Childcare is available for the youngest members of our congregation in our Childcare Program for pre-school age children.

Our elementary school age children have their own classroom using the Godly Play curriculum. Our Godly Play program teaches Bible stories, parables and liturgical actions through story-telling with concrete objects and biblical figures.

Our program for teens introduces them to any number of forms of leadership and service, along with fun events designed for them throughout the Diocese of Massachusetts.

Visitor and other registration forms, as well as further information, are on the table outside the Godly Play classroom. Please alert us to allergies and specific needs; we want your child(ren) to be safe and have fun! If you have any questions about our program or our curriculum, please email Andrew Heintz, our Director of Christian Education.
