At St. Mary’s, outreach has always been important to who we are as a community of faith. Miracle Kitchen, B-SAFE, school backpack drives and making pies at Thanksgiving are all great examples of the continuing outreach work we do here at St. Mary’s. As a vestry, we recognize the importance of outreach to our relationship with God and each other and have a “New Initiatives” fund in our budget for expanded outreach initiatives.
We’d like to invite all St. Mary’s community members to a discussion on Sunday, October 30 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapter Room. We’re looking for volunteers to join the St. Mary’s Outreach Committee and help shape how we spend our outreach budget. We also want to decide as a community on the best way to apply this budget to active outreach work in our community. We’re not going to make spending decisions in this meeting but instead discuss the right structure for making those decisions in near future.
All are welcome at this discussion on Sunday the 30th. We look forward to seeing you there!
