Crayons for Kids in Ghana

Abbi Golledge (Gail Jessup’s granddaughter) shares the following from her experiences in Ghana:

“I would like to thank the people of Saint Mary’s Church from the bottom of my heart for their generosity towards my cause Crayons for Kids. Upon receiving the box of crayons and various other art supplies from my Grandmother Gail Jessup, I took Ghana by storm, or should I say by crayon? 🙂 As I delivered the art supplies to children throughout the country I was met with looks of pure amazement, love and gratitude. I had multiple encounters of children giggling uncontrollably and then running at me full tilt for a bear hug upon receiving the crayons. Thank you for allowing me to be the bearer of such generosity and able to experience the amazing amounts of love the children of Ghana have to offer.

“As I learn more and adventure further into my new home of Ghana I have realized the scarcity, and that a large percentage of the population lives on less than a dollar a day without electricity or running water. When the children receive these gifts it brightens not only their day, but also brings them hope of better ones to come.

“I would LOVE to continue to bring crayons, markers, pencils and other supplies to the school children of Ghana and would greatly appreciate any help you could lend me! I will be placing another collection box in the church hall and if you have any questions, comments, suggestions or just want to say hello my email is crayonsforkids@hotmail.com.

“Thank you so much!”
