Kirsten Johnson, Director of Music

Kirsten Johnson has been the director of music at St. Mary’s since 1992.  She completed her undergraduate degree at St. Olaf College in Northfield Minnesota and her graduate degree from the Institute of Sacred Music at Yale.  At St. Mary’s, Kirsten is both organist and choir director coordinating both adult and youth choirs.  Away from St. Mary’s, Kirsten teaches young people through the Music Together program. Kirsten can be reached at

Denise Flanagan, Parish Administrator

Denise has worked at St. Mary’s since 1992.  As the parish administrator, Denise coordinates publications, calendars and record keeping.  As the primary office support for the church for nearly 20 years, Denise can answer almost any question. Denise can be reached at

Shelby White, Director of Youth Ministry and Religious Education

Shelby White, Director of Youth Ministry and Religious Education, joined St. Mary’s in 2015. A fourth generation Episcopalian, Shelby grew up in Southern California before she moved east for college and graduate school. She is a Montessori Teacher who is certified in Non-Violent Communication, Peace Education, and Godly Play. Shelby has extensive experience in non-profit management, special education, democratic education, community outreach, and is nearly bilingual. She is a board member in the small community where she lives with her family. In her spare time, Shelby enjoys travelling, cooking, writing, editing, and spending time with friends.
