Outreach

St. Mary’s has had a sister parish relationship with Santa Maria Virgen in El Salvador for over twenty years

St. Mary’s has a strong tradition of supporting worthy initiatives in our local neighborhood, greater Boston, around the country and world.  We reach out into the world in two primary ways – by providing activities for parishioners, and through financial gifts.

As a community, we participate in diverse programs and activities. These include monthly dinners at Miracle Kitchen in Framingham – where we’ve been serving meals for more than 25 years; meals and financial support for Rosie’s Place in Boston; a great week every summer with the B-Safe program in Boston; and initiatives with our neighbors at the New Falls Apartments including a fall backpack and school supply drive and meals at Thanksgiving.

We offer financial support to initiatives and organization through grants and gifts that are administered by our Outreach Committee. Our outreach budget comes from three sources: our annual operating budget, an endowment created as part of our 175th anniversary, and parish wide fundraising at our bi-annual yard sale.
