Our New Rector

The Rev. George R. Stevens has been at St. Mary's Episcopal Church since the summer of 2010.  He grew up in North Carolina and received an undergraduate degree in religion from The University of Richmond in 1999.  Following a year of snowboarding, George joined the staff of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Winston-Salem, NC where he worked as youth minister.  In 2003, George moved to New York City to attend The General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church.  Following graduation, he moved to Beverly Farms, Massachusetts to work as the Associate Rector.  George serves on the Financial Advisory Committee for the Diocese of Massachusetts.  He enjoys drinking coffee, the great outdoors and the Boston Red Sox.  George and his wife Margaret have two children, Henry and Anne and a dog, Angus.
